| 3 | Formation, Capacity Building and Institutional Strengthening of Water Users\' Associations (WUAs): The agency/NGO shall undertake all activities required for effective implementation of Participatory Irrigation Management (PIM) in accordance with the provisions of the Gujarat Participatory Irrigation Management Act, 2007, relevant Rules, Government Resolutions, and guidelines issued vide File No. NWRWSKD/PMR/e-file/13/2023/2043 (MI CellPlanning), as amended from time to time. The scope shall include identification and mobilization of beneficiary farmers; formation, registration and institutional strengthening of Water Users\' Associations (WUAs)/Water Users\' Cooperative Societies (WUCS); conduct of awareness programmes, stakeholder consultations, village meetings, workshops, exposure visits and capacity-building activities; imparting training on governance, leadership, financial management, record keeping, operation and maintenance of irrigation systems, water budgeting, rotational water distribution (Warabandi), scientific irrigation practices and efficient water use; preparation of crop planning and water distribution schedules; facilitation of equitable water allocation, operation and maintenance of irrigation infrastructure, monitoring of irrigation performance, maintenance of statutory records, resolution of operational issues and disputes, preparation and submission of progress reports and other prescribed documentation; and coordination with the Water Resources Department, Gujarat Water Resources Development Corporation (GWRDC), WALMI, Cooperative Department, Agriculture Department, Revenue Department and other concerned authorities for successful implementation, monitoring and sustainability of Participatory Irrigation Management in accordance with the applicable Government policies and departmental guidelines. | 1.000 | job |
