Minimum weld sizes shall be 6 mm fillet weld for SHS posts, base plates, stiffeners, gusset plates and cleats, 4 mm fillet weld for inclined back stays, and 3 mm fillet weld for RHS members, or as approved by the Engineer-in-Charge.The item shall further include surface preparation by mechanical cleaning, removal of rust, oil, grease, burrs and mill scale, application of one coat of approved zinc chromate/epoxy metal primer followed by two coats of synthetic enamel paint or approved protective coating, including touch-up painting after erection.The rate shall include loading, unloading, transportation, lifting, scaffolding, staging, tools and tackles, consumables, welding electrodes, cutting discs, bolts, nuts, washers, fabrication losses, testing, quality control, labour, safety provisions, cleaning of site, disposal of scrap and all leads and lifts, complete in all respects as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.The work shall conform to IS 800, IS 806, IS 4923, IS 2062, IS 816, IS 9595, CPWD , Govt.
